Our Legacy and Mission
Meet Mark.
Mark is a lifelong resident of South Dakota who grew up in Aberdeen. He attended Aberdeen Central High School and graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Over the course of his career, Mark has earned his LUTCF and LTCP designations and has been a member of the MDRT Association multiple times.
Mark is the proud father of four children. His daughter, Meghan, joined him at the agency in 2012, and together they have continued to expand the business. His oldest son, Mason, joined in 2024, following in Meghan’s footsteps to grow the agency’s presence in Aberdeen. His middle son, Kaden, is a 2023 Aberdeen Central High School graduate who enjoys boating with the family, while his youngest, Kyler, is a 2025 Aberdeen Central High School graduate and is attending college.
Outside the office, Mark enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding his Harley. He’s an active member of the Aberdeen Gun Club, Aberdeen Driftbusters, and his church community.

Our Dedicated Insurance Agents
Meghan Sell
Meghan grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She began her insurance career in 2012 after obtaining her health and life insurance license, joining her father to continue building the family business. In 2017, she earned her FHIAS designation, further strengthening her expertise in health insurance.
In her spare time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their beloved pets.
Lorne Serr
Lorne grew up in Eureka, South Dakota, and attended Dakota State University in Madison. He later graduated from Worsham College in Wheeling, Illinois. In January 2016, Lorne began a new career in insurance and has been helping clients ever since.
Lorne enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. You can often find them golfing, hunting, fishing, or cheering for their favorite team – the Green Bay Packers.
Mandy Boe
Mandy grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northern State University. She worked in the banking industry for more than a decade before joining Mark Mehlhoff Insurance in March 2023 to begin her health insurance career and earning her FHIAS designation in 2024.
Mandy and her husband live on a farm in the Claremont/Langford area and have one son. She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys her summers at the lake.
Mason Mehlhoff
Mason grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and graduated from the University of South Dakota in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He immediately joined the family business to begin his insurance career.
An avid outdoorsman, Mason enjoys fishing, jet skiing, hunting, and ice fishing. When he’s not outdoors, he loves playing ping pong and billiards, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
